Hi, I’m Dr John O’Shea; allow me to introduce our newly launched fast itch relieving moisturising cream, Suu Balm, to Ireland. I am an Irish Doctor: I studied medicine in UCD for 6 years, and then, after graduating, I specialised in cosmetic dermatology and urgent care medicine, working in several clinics in Dublin for the next 7 years.

In my clinical practice I used to see many patients with skin conditions such as eczema, or dermatitis as some people call it, psoriasis and others that caused severe itch. However, the options for giving rapid relief to people with dry, itchy, sensitive skin were very limited. Anti-histamines given little relief to the itch from many of these conditions whilst other creams take days and weeks to provide ongoing itch relief rather than in a couple of minutes which is what people so desperately need.

Later, I moved to Singapore to build experience in the healthcare sector. When, in 2013, I was introduced to a research focussed dermatologist, Dr Tey Hong Liang, who after working in USA, UK and Singapore had developed a cream to relieve itch for people with sensitive skin, I quickly realised the value of his solution to all these patients I had met back home in Ireland.

Dr Tey and I spent the next year further improving the formulation of his cream, and so Suu Balm was born, the first rapid itch relief moisturising cream based on advanced medical knowledge being applied to the unmet health needs of everyday people.

Now I’m bringing Suu Balm home to Ireland.

So what’s different about Suu Balm, compared to other products in the Irish market? There are three things:

  1. Our doctor’s formula provides fast effective itch relief, combined with a high grade medical moisturiser to help restore a healthy skin barrier – a unique combination
  2. It is medically proven – we tested the formula in a clinical study in people with eczema – who found it an effective moisturiser providing fast itch relief
  3. The ingredients have been chosen to be non-irritating to people with sensitive skin – for example, there are no parabens, a commonly used preservative, in Suu Balm

Suu Balm offers you the possibility of a release from the torment of dry, itchy, sensitive skin. But the proof is in the pudding – I encourage you to try Suu Balm for yourself.

Suu Balm can be purchased through Irish Pharmacies and on-line. Please have a look at our website and Facebook page for more information and see what the many users of Suu Balm have to say, or to contact us with any questions you might have.
