And that’s another month gone!  Am I the only person who thinks that this year is flying by waaaaay too fast?

Today I just want to run through a few bits and pieces that might be of interest to you.  First up, some fashion!  My good pal Donna, who blogs at I Won’t Wear Sludge Brown, has raved unreservedly about these Pull On Coated Leggings from Next for the past year.  (Incidentally, you need to read her blog – lots of top tips on dressing for your shape and how to work out your correct colour palette.)  Being an obedient soul – with a love for all things leather and pleather – I went online to purchase, but nope!  Not available to buy online in Ireland.  Gutted is too mild a word. However!  When I went into the Next store in Dundrum, there they were.  So for those of you in Ireland, they are the faux leather leggings that have a price tag with £24 or €38 (Don’t even get me started on that exchange rate!)

And for those of you in the UK, you can purchase here from the comfort of your own home!  Apparently these are the ultimate in comfort, don’t sag at the knee, look fab and have the appearance of being more expensive than they actually are.  You can thank me later!

Last week I also had the good fortune to be invited to the launch of a new natural skincare brand called Bryt.

Free from sulphates, parabens and chemicals, this is a brand that will suit all skin types – even the Teen who was with me at the event, can use this range.  Apparently the products contain a unique APS, i.e. naturally derived antioxidants which encourage the skin to detoxify, exfoliate and regenerate whilst also soothing, calming and moisturising!  Can’t ask for more than that.  All very affordable too, with nothing costing more than €30 and now available from all leading pharmacies.

I managed to speak to the founder Catkin Wemyss-Bodmer who told me that, bizarrely, some people have told her that the Bryt Shave for Him product has helped to ease their psoriasis.  Hmmmm … not sure that I’d be condoning that, but certainly the range is lovely and so far, having used the Calm Serum it has worked very well on my skin. Stunning packaging too which was designed by the same person who designed the Jo Malone range.  Always good to have things that look pretty on the bathroom shelf!

Staying with all things skin, last week I also received a sample of a new product on the market, which is designed to rapidly relieve itch.  I had already seen Suu Balm being mentioned by Marissa Carter on Snapchat, as being the only thing that was helping to relieve her psoriasis right now, so that was quite the endorsement.   This cream smells very strongly of menthol, but it is this which causes it to work so well, by relieving itch intensity by up to 80%.  At the moment, I thankfully don’t have too much psoriasis to worry about (sends silent prayer of thanks for the wonder of biologics) but I have developed a tiny patch on the sole of my foot, which itches like bedamned every night.  And guess what? This cream has been a lot more effective at easing that, than any steroid that I’ve used.  So if you’re looking for an alternative to steroid creams, which will help to both hydrate your skin whilst also easing the itch, then I think this might just be the answer!

And now I must take my leave.  I’m off to see Bridget Jones’ Baby tonight which I’m ridiculously excited about.  Yes, I need to get out more!  Have a lovely weekend.

Note: I was given these products for free, but was not under any obligation to blog about them.  All opinions are my own.
